One more year we have prepared the European Geoparks Week, although this time we will not be able to carry it out as usual, with meetings, conferences, exhibitions and guided field trips, activities that allow us to approach and know the rich natural, geological and cultural heritage of Sobrarbe-Pyrenees.

We have nevertheless prepared a virtual European Geoparks Week, with three interesting web conferences and a photographic activity in collaboration with the Causses du Quercy UNESCO Global Geopark of French.

In addition, this year, we commemorate the 20th anniversary of the launch of the European Geoparks Network, which is growing, and already has 74 UNESCO Global Geoparks in 24 different countries.

We will open a virtual window to learn a little more about the neighboring French UNESCO Global Geopark Les Causses du Quercy, which has an important geological heritage. We will also learn how the Pyrenees and the Himalayas have reasonable similarities.

And we will also dedicate an afternoon to researchers, to find out what they study and research in Sobrarbe; in this case with a conference on glacierism and karst.

We will also travel through photography, with the joint activity organized with the Causses du Quercy Unesco Global Geopark. We want to show all the beauty of our Sobrarbe Pyrenees UNESCO Global Geopark through photography and social networks, and that our French neighbors do it with theirs. That is why we have created these two hashtags #geoparquecasamia and #mongeoparcchezmoi to include them in the publications.

At www.geoparquepirineos.com you can find all the information and fill out the form to participate in the web conferences, which will be held through the ZOOM platform.

We hope that this virtual meeting will be well received, hoping that we will meet again in person soon to continue enjoying and touring our Sobrarbe-Pyrenees UNESCO Global Geopark.
